The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the F-35 Joint Program Office and the United States federal government; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be considered.US-Turkey diplomatic engagement has intensified in mid-2026, with the Trump administration reviewing options to restore Ankara's participation in the F-35 program after its 2019 exclusion tied to the S-400 purchase. Recent statements from US officials, including hints of potential sanctions relief and jet engine sales ahead of NATO meetings, along with reports of "fruitful" bilateral talks, have shaped trader assessments. Turkey continues exploring pathways to address the S-400 compatibility concerns, such as third-country transfers, while regional partners including Greece and Israel have raised objections. Congressional review and any formal US decisions on export controls or program access remain key variables that could influence near-term outcomes.
