Trump remains firmly in office amid his second term, with recent public appearances including remarks on May 8 and a press gaggle on May 12 underscoring his active leadership ahead of a planned China summit on May 14–15. Trader consensus at 88.5% "No" reflects the collapse of early April Democratic efforts—such as impeachment articles from Reps. Raskin and Larson, and NAACP calls for the 25th Amendment—triggered by Trump's Iran rhetoric and health rumors, which gained no traction in the Republican-controlled House and Senate. Removal via impeachment requires a two-thirds Senate vote, while 25th Amendment invocation demands Vice President Vance and cabinet consensus, both deemed improbable absent major escalation, bolstering expectations of term continuity through 2027.

An announcement of Donald Trump's resignation/removal before this market's end date will immediately resolve this market to "Yes", regardless of when the announced resignation/removal goes into effect.
Only permanent removal from office will qualify. Temporary removal (e.g. temporary invocation of the 25th Amendment under Section 3 or a Section 4 invocation not sustained by both Houses of Congress) or impeachment without removal will not count.
A sustained invocation of the Twenty-Fifth Amendment, Section 4 (i.e., if both Houses of Congress, by two-thirds vote, uphold the Vice President and Cabinet’s determination of presidential inability) will qualify for a "Yes" resolution.
The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.
