High pressure building over the Southeast is driving sunny skies and light winds across Atlanta, supporting daytime highs in the mid-90s on September 1 as subsidence suppresses cloud development and maximizes solar heating. Recent model consensus from sources aligned with NOAA guidance places the peak near 93–95°F, consistent with trader emphasis on the 94–95°F and 96–97°F bins amid above-average late-summer warmth. Minor differences between those leading outcomes hinge on variables such as exact wind shifts, boundary-layer mixing, or localized humidity that can alter the afternoon maximum by a degree or two. Official resolution will use the National Weather Service Atlanta high-temperature observation, with the final 24–48 hours of forecast updates likely refining the precise value before markets close.
