Recent National Weather Service and local model guidance for Denver on September 23 shows highs peaking near 77–79°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies, with light easterly winds and only a 15–20% chance of afternoon showers. This consensus, reflected in point forecasts reaching 78–79°F midday before modest cooling, underpins the tight clustering of market-implied probabilities around the 76–79°F bins. Minor differences between adjacent ranges stem from uncertainty in cloud persistence, which can suppress peak solar heating by 2–3°F, versus brief clearing that allows brief spikes near 80°F. Historical September averages near 73°F provide context, but current steering patterns and lack of strong warm advection favor the upper-70s outcome most traders currently price. Updated NWS model runs and afternoon observations will refine these odds ahead of resolution.
