Official forecasts from the National Weather Service and supporting models indicate a high near 87–88°F for Miami on September 19 amid scattered to likely afternoon thunderstorms, establishing the narrow edge for the 88–89°F bin over 86–87°F in current market-implied odds. Persistent tropical moisture, elevated dew points near 75°F, and southeasterly flow promote widespread cloud cover and convective cooling that typically caps afternoon peaks in the upper 80s rather than allowing full insolation toward 90°F or higher. Light steering winds and sea-breeze interactions introduce minor uncertainty in exact timing of showers, which can shift the daily maximum by 1–2°F depending on when heaviest rain develops. Traders weighting recent model runs and historical September analogs for similar setups have concentrated probability in these two adjacent bins while assigning lower odds to outliers.
