Recent forecasts from multiple models indicate a highest temperature in San Francisco on September 3 most likely in the mid-to-upper 60s°F, aligning with the closely matched 68-69°F and 70-71°F market bins at 23% each. Persistent marine layer clouds and onshore flow from the Pacific are expected to limit daytime warming, with a chance of drizzle keeping highs near or slightly below the long-term average of 69.7°F. Minor variations in cloud cover timing, wind speed, or marine layer depth could push readings into the low 70s or hold them in the mid-60s, creating the tight spread among leading outcomes. Updated model runs over the next 48 hours will clarify whether the layer thins enough for brief clearing and modest warming.
