Incumbent Ken Sim leads the Vancouver mayoral race in recent polling amid a crowded field, but trader consensus reflects a tight contest shaped by vote splitting among challengers and more than one-quarter of voters remaining undecided. Key issues including housing affordability, public safety, and property taxes continue to dominate voter attention ahead of the October 17 election, with no single opponent consolidating progressive or liberal support. Pete Fry and Kareem Allam trail closely in surveys, while smaller candidates further fragment preferences. Developments such as candidate debates, further nominations before the September deadline, or shifts in turnout among key demographics could widen gaps, as could any consolidation behind one main alternative to the ABC incumbent.
