National Weather Service and private forecast models converge on a high near 93–94°F for Houston on September 13, 2026, supporting the market’s heaviest weighting on the 92–95°F bins. Persistent southerly flow off the Gulf maintains above-average warmth and elevated dew points, while limited cloud cover and only modest afternoon convection keep maximum temperatures in the mid-90s rather than allowing stronger cooling. This pattern aligns with recent days’ readings and exceeds the 1991–2020 September 13 climatological average of 89.8°F. Model consensus remains tight with low spread, though any earlier or stronger sea-breeze or thunderstorm development could shave a degree or two from the peak. Official verification will come from the primary reporting station once the calendar day ends.
