Official National Weather Service and model consensus forecasts for Austin on September 14 point to a high in the upper 90s to low 100s°F under persistent southerly flow and partly cloudy skies, positioning the 98–99°F and 100–101°F bins as the clear market leaders. Recent observations show daytime maxima near 99–100°F with heat indices exceeding 107°F, consistent with above-average late-summer warmth. Historical data place the September 14 average high at 91°F and the record at 101°F, underscoring how current atmospheric conditions support temperatures near or slightly above that benchmark. Traders appear to weigh the narrow spread of guidance and low precipitation chances when assigning the combined 74% implied probability to those two outcomes ahead of final observations.
