Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance points to overnight lows in the mid-50s Fahrenheit for Seattle on September 14, driven by lingering marine air, persistent cloud cover from a passing frontal system, and light southerly flow that limits radiative cooling. This setup favors temperatures near or slightly above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 53.4 °F. The near-even market odds between sub-47 °F and 66 °F+ outcomes reflect residual uncertainty in the precise minimum, as small shifts in cloud timing or boundary-layer mixing could alter the overnight low by several degrees. Traders are weighing these variables ahead of final NWS forecast updates and real-time observations on the 14th.
