Recent National Weather Service forecasts and ensemble models indicate a September 20 high near 95°F in Houston, supported by southerly flow, light winds, and mostly sunny conditions that favor strong daytime heating amid elevated humidity. This aligns with the market's leading 94-95°F outcome at 37.5% implied probability, while the close 92-93°F share reflects minor model spreads over afternoon cloud development or brief showers that could cap peaks. September climatology shows average highs near 88-89°F, so current warmth represents a modest positive anomaly without extreme heat indices dominating. Updated short-range guidance and next NHC/NOAA runs will clarify resolution thresholds within the 92-96°F range.
