Official temperature observations from the National Weather Service confirm a daily high of 76-77°F in Los Angeles on September 20, underpinning the market's unanimous trader consensus at 100%. This result aligns with regional late-summer patterns, where coastal marine layers and onshore winds typically cap daytime heating near seasonal averages around 75°F. Market positioning reflects verified station data rather than models, with traders incorporating real-time readings to assess the precise threshold. While measurement protocols at primary Los Angeles sites minimize uncertainty, rare post-event revisions or differences across nearby stations could theoretically alter the final recorded high, though historical precedent shows such changes are infrequent for daily maxima.
