Persistent heat across North Texas, with recent overnight lows in the upper 70s to low 80s, keeps trader focus split between a potential weak frontal passage and continued southerly flow. National Weather Service and model guidance indicate a Thursday low near 78–83°F under partly cloudy skies, with only a 20% chance of isolated showers or storms that could enhance radiational cooling. Historical September averages near 72°F contrast with the current anomalously warm pattern, while minor differences in boundary timing or cloud cover create realistic scenarios for readings dipping to the low 70s or holding above 80°F. Updated NWS briefings and evening model runs will refine these thresholds ahead of resolution.
