This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport Station in degrees Fahrenheit on 22 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=ksea This market will resolve off of the Hourly Data provided using the "Show Hourly Data" button. If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to US Units w/ kts" button until the relevant table displays °F. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Fahrenheit (eg, 21°F). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Forecast models indicate a mostly cloudy September 22 in Seattle with highs likely in the mid-to-upper 60s°F, aligning with the market’s tight spread between the 66-67°F (36%) and 68-69°F (43%) brackets.** Official guidance from sources including WeatherBug, Yr.no, and local outlooks projects daytime maxima near 64–68°F under persistent cloud cover and light winds, which limits solar heating. Seattle’s marine climate—driven by the Puget Sound and prevailing onshore flow—typically caps temperatures near the long-term September 22 average of 68.6°F, and current patterns show no strong offshore winds or clear-sky warming to push values higher. The narrow gap between the leading outcomes reflects genuine uncertainty in model consensus on cloud timing and any brief afternoon clearing. Minor shifts in marine layer depth, wind direction, or insolation could easily differentiate a 66–67°F versus 68–69°F peak. Higher brackets (70°F+) carry lower implied odds consistent with the absence of anomalous warmth, while cooler outcomes remain possible if thicker clouds or earlier marine influence prevail. Updated National Weather Service or NHC-adjacent guidance in the final 48 hours will be the key data point for traders.
