Forecast models from the National Weather Service and other agencies indicate a typical late-September marine layer over coastal Los Angeles, with overnight lows expected in the mid-60s amid patchy fog, light onshore flow, and clear to partly cloudy skies that support moderate radiative cooling. This pattern aligns with climatological norms near 63°F while recent observations show slightly elevated minima due to persistent humidity and southwest winds around 5-10 mph. Trader consensus favoring the 66-67°F bin reflects the narrow range of official guidance, with limited model spread and no incoming systems to drive sharper overnight drops or warmer advection before the September 22 minimum is recorded.
