Recent cold front passage over the Río de la Plata region on September 2–3 introduced cooler, drier southwesterly flow, suppressing daytime highs to around 17°C on September 3 and setting the stage for modest recovery on the 4th. Clearing skies, light to moderate southwest winds, and surface heating under high pressure are expected to drive afternoon temperatures toward 16–18°C, with ensemble guidance showing limited spread around this range. Market-implied odds favoring 18°C (44%) over 19°C (35%) reflect trader assessment of post-frontal stabilization and September climatology (average highs near 19°C) tempered by the recent cool advection. Official Servicio Meteorológico Nacional observations and updated model runs on the day will determine the precise maximum.
