**Recent dry Southwest Monsoon conditions, with prevailing southeasterly or southwesterly winds and below-average rainfall, are supporting afternoon temperatures near or slightly above seasonal norms for early September.** Singapore’s tropical climate typically sees September daytime highs averaging 31.6°C, with historical records rarely exceeding 34–35°C outside extreme events. Official guidance notes maxima of 33–35°C are likely on most days through mid-month, with potential to top 35°C under clear, windy skies, while specific model runs for September 4 point to afternoon peaks of 31–33°C (roughly 88–91°F) at stations like Changi. Model consensus emphasizes mostly sunny or partly cloudy skies, light-to-moderate winds, and low precipitation chances, which reduce cloud cover and allow stronger solar heating—key drivers pushing the market-implied probability highest at 33°C (61.5%). The secondary 32°C outcome (32%) reflects some model variability and the possibility of modest cooling from localized showers or slightly higher humidity. Odds for 34°C or above remain low (under 7% combined) because current steering patterns and moisture levels limit extreme intensification, though any last-minute forecast shift toward clearer, drier air could elevate those chances before resolution. Traders are effectively pricing the balance between the broad official outlook for warmer conditions and the narrower, day-specific numerical guidance.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wsss
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
