Recent developments in the Trump Gold Card visa program, including Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick's April 2026 congressional testimony confirming just one approval with hundreds queued amid ongoing vetting, have reinforced trader expectations of minimal 2026 sales. Court filings reveal only 338 total applicants and 165 processing-fee payments since the late-2025 launch, far below initial projections of tens of thousands. Legal challenges and implementation delays continue to constrain volume, positioning the 1-100 outcome as the clear leader in current pricing. Market participants weigh these verified bottlenecks against the possibility of accelerated approvals later in the year.
