Recent Swedish opinion polls through July 2026 show the Social Democrats consistently leading at around 32 percent, followed by the Sweden Democrats near 20 percent, with the Moderate Party holding third place near 17 percent and a clear margin over the Left Party, Greens, and Centre Party. The incumbent Tidö government’s policy focus on migration tightening and economic measures has stabilized Moderate support without lifting the party into the top two, while the Sweden Democrats’ second-place standing has shown limited recent gains. With the September 13 election roughly five weeks away and no major shifts in bloc alignments or leadership changes, trader consensus assigns the Moderate Party an 82 percent probability of finishing third, reflecting the durable polling gap to both larger and smaller parties.
