**Flávio Bolsonaro leads trader pricing for first place in Espírito Santo’s October 4 first-round presidential vote at 84.5 percent, reflecting state-level polling that shows him tied with or ahead of President Lula.** July surveys from Real Time Big Data and Quaest placed the PL senator at 36 percent and 30 percent respectively in the state, versus Lula at 34 percent and 30 percent—within margins of error and far ahead of Ronaldo Caiado, Romeu Zema, Renan Santos, and Augusto Cury. Espírito Santo’s consistent support for non-PT candidates in recent presidential cycles and the consolidation of right-leaning voters behind the Liberal Party nominee help sustain the gap, even as national polls show Lula ahead overall. The official campaign launch in mid-August and limited recent state-specific data have kept probabilities stable, with low single-digit shares for all other listed contenders.
