Recent National Weather Service and local forecasts for Denver on September 16 project a daily high near 84°F under partly to mostly cloudy skies, with a 20-30% chance of afternoon showers or thunderstorms that could limit peak heating. This aligns with the market's clustered probabilities around 80-85°F, where trader consensus appears to weigh the cooling influence of increased cloud cover and moisture against seasonal norms. The September 15 high of only 74°F reflected a transient cool surge, while upstream model guidance shows modest warming as high pressure builds but remains tempered by lingering instability. Historical September 16 averages near 79°F provide context, yet the current setup favors outcomes near or slightly above that baseline depending on exact cloud timing and convective development. Updated NWS briefings and short-range model runs will likely refine the final high before resolution.
