Rafael López Aliaga holds a commanding lead in the Lima mayoral market at 74.6% amid the October 4, 2026, municipal election. Recent September polling from IEP and others shows him ahead of Carlos Bruce at roughly 20%, driven by his prior mayoral record, Renovación Popular's list structure positioning him as first regidor, and the JNE's confirmation of his candidacy despite earlier registration challenges. Bruce trails as the main alternative on Somos Perú, while most other listed candidates register minimal support. Trader pricing aligns with these trends and the short timeline to voting, though late shifts in undecided voters or turnout could still influence the final outcome.
