Recent National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus point to a low in the upper 60s for Los Angeles on September 12, with patchy fog and light southwesterly winds after sunset limiting radiational cooling. Persistent marine layer influence and above-average sea surface temperatures have kept recent overnight lows elevated near 70–74°F, reducing the typical drop from daytime highs in the mid-80s. This setup favors a minimum around 67–68°F at official stations like LAX or downtown, though slight variations in fog timing or wind could push readings into the low 70s. Trader consensus, reflected in the 70–71°F bin holding over 50% implied probability, appears anchored to these warmer recent analogs and the low likelihood of stronger cooling under clear-to-foggy conditions. Updated evening observations and final climatological reports will determine resolution.
