Recent polling for New Zealand’s 7 November 2026 general election shows National and Labour locked in a tight race, each near 30% party vote amid rising support for the Opportunity Party and stable backing for NZ First, ACT, Greens and Te Pāti Māori. The MMP system, combined with Māori electorate dynamics and potential coalition pathways, keeps projected seat totals narrow between the two largest parties. Trader pricing for second place—National at 54% and Labour at 41.5%—reflects this closeness and recent mixed survey results, including July–August Roy Morgan and 1News-Verian figures indicating either bloc could secure the most seats. Minor parties remain below 1% in the market, consistent with their lower likelihood of finishing ahead of both majors under current trends.
