Dalton Eatherly, known online as Chud the Builder, faces multiple felony charges including attempted first-degree murder stemming from a May 13, 2026, courthouse shooting in Clarksville, Tennessee, but remains in pre-trial proceedings without a conviction as of late August. Prosecutors allege he drew a firearm during an altercation and fired multiple shots at Joshua Fox, while Eatherly has maintained a self-defense claim. The case advanced to grand jury review alongside separate misdemeanor charges, with a motion to dismiss filed by defense counsel. Eatherly posted a $1 million bond in early August, leading to release under house arrest with GPS monitoring, a firearm prohibition, curfew, and gag orders; a recent bond hearing upheld the amount. Tennessee criminal procedure timelines, including potential preliminary hearings and pre-trial motions, indicate conviction remains months or longer away absent a plea. These factors underpin the market's 89% probability on the "No" outcome.
