If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).Redistricting approved in early May has transformed Florida's 22nd Congressional District into an open seat with a modest Democratic lean, reflected in the 57 percent Democratic versus 39 percent Republican market pricing. Incumbent Lois Frankel shifted to the adjacent 23rd district, leaving Democratic primary contenders Ian Blake and Victoria Doyle to compete for the nomination ahead of the August 18 primary. On the Republican side, Michael Carbonara relocated his candidacy to the district after the map changes, positioning the party to mount a competitive general-election challenge on November 3. Race ratings from Cook and Inside Elections classify the contest as Solid Democratic, while the modest Republican edge in statewide polling and fundraising keeps the outcome within reach for both sides.
