Recent polling for Rio de Janeiro’s two Senate seats shows Benedita da Silva (PT) holding a clear lead, while a fragmented field of center-right and opposition contenders—including Marcelo Crivella, Márcio Canella, Pedro Paulo, and others—competes for the second position. Investigations into several right-wing figures have complicated alliance-building, preventing any single challenger from consolidating support. With roughly two months until the October vote, voter indecision remains elevated and no candidate has established a durable advantage in second-place scenarios. Trader consensus reflects this dispersion, pricing most listed names near even odds and leaving room for late shifts from campaign momentum, party negotiations, or turnout patterns among key blocs.
