Recent National Weather Service forecasts for Houston indicate a high near 91–93°F on September 2 amid high humidity, south winds, and a 50–70% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Trader sentiment clusters around 86–91°F because afternoon convection and associated cloud cover can reduce solar heating and trigger evaporative cooling or outflow boundaries that cap peak readings. Model consensus shows modest spread in storm timing and coverage, with scattered to likely activity potentially arriving before maximum temperatures are reached. This genuine forecast uncertainty—typical for late-summer Gulf Coast patterns—keeps the leading bins closely matched while keeping higher outcomes below 10% implied probability. Updated NWS guidance and short-range model runs over the next 24–48 hours will refine the expected maximum.
