Recent National Weather Service and model guidance for Chicago O’Hare point to a post-frontal environment on September 10, with northerly winds and clearing skies after Wednesday’s storms supporting overnight lows near 60–62 °F. This aligns with the long-term average minimum of 61 °F while remaining well above the 46 °F record low. Trader sentiment remains closely balanced between the sub-58 °F and 76 °F-plus tails because small shifts in cloud timing, wind speed, or lake-breeze effects can move the minimum several degrees either way; updated NWS forecast discussions and evening model runs over the next 48 hours will likely resolve the narrow 60–63 °F range that currently carries the highest implied probability.
