This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of Minnesota including the Minnesota Secretary of State and the government of Hennepin County.Minnesota's Democratic primary for the open U.S. Senate seat features a tight contest between Lt. Gov. Peggy Flanagan and Rep. Angie Craig, with the August 11 vote just days away. Hennepin County voters, concentrated in the Minneapolis urban core, weigh Flanagan's progressive platform, DFL endorsement, and endorsements from figures like Sens. Tina Smith and Bernie Sanders against Craig's moderate record, substantial fundraising edge, and outside spending. Recent polling shows the statewide race within a few points, while a June debate and Craig's decision to bypass the party convention have kept attention on ideological differences. This balance, combined with undecided voters and the county's strong Democratic turnout patterns, sustains narrow implied probabilities across leading options, with separation likely hinging on final mobilization and any late shifts in local support.
