Nayarit’s 2027 gubernatorial race remains wide open more than a year before the vote, with traders pricing multiple candidates in a tight cluster because early polling shows no dominant frontrunner and party nomination processes are still fluid. Recent surveys, including MetaMetrics fieldwork, place several potential contenders—including Luis Zamora Carrillo, José Antonio Barajas López, and Héctor Santana García—within a narrow band of voter preference, reflecting a fragmented field across major parties and independents. Low name recognition for many aspirants, undecided voters, and the absence of finalized party tickets keep implied probabilities compressed. Separation is most likely after key internal selection deadlines, major endorsements, or additional statewide polling that clarifies regional support and coalition dynamics.
