Forecast models from sources including the Met Office and PredictWind indicate peak temperatures in Jeddah on September 17 will likely reach 37–39°C under clear skies and light northwesterly winds, aligning with the closely matched market probabilities around those thresholds. Late-summer solar insolation combined with the Red Sea's sea surface temperatures near 31°C sustains high sensible heat, while minimal cloud cover and stable subtropical high pressure limit cooling. Small model differences in wind speed, timing of maximum heating, and local urban effects create the narrow spread between 36°C and 39°C outcomes, with historical September averages near 37.5°C providing context. Updated runs from regional agencies over the next 48 hours will refine the exact daily maximum before market resolution.
