**Trader sentiment for Guangzhou’s lowest temperature on September 21 reflects near-even odds (46% each) on the extremes of 20°C or below versus 30°C or higher, with narrower bands around 25–27°C trading near 21%.** This split highlights genuine forecast uncertainty rather than a clear consensus. Subtropical Guangzhou in late September normally sees average lows near 23.7°C, but recent days have featured hot, humid conditions with highs of 34–36°C. Official forecasts for the 21st point to a high near 34°C, a low around 26°C, and an 80%+ chance of heavy rain (30+ mm possible). Persistent cloud cover and rainfall reduce nocturnal radiative cooling, keeping minimum temperatures elevated compared with clear nights. Light winds and high humidity further limit temperature drops. A stronger-than-expected cold front or clearer skies overnight could push the low toward or below 20°C, while suppressed cooling or a delayed system could keep readings near or above 30°C. Model runs and official guidance from regional meteorological centers will be key updates traders are watching before resolution. The balanced market pricing underscores how small shifts in timing, intensity of precipitation, or cloud persistence can swing the overnight minimum across a wide range in this humid, monsoon-influenced environment.
