Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader sentiment strongly favors a 21°C low in Tokyo on June 14, 2026, with an 89.5% implied probability.** This reflects current forecast consensus from meteorological models showing overnight minimums stabilizing near the seasonal average during the early phase of the East Asian rainy season (tsuyu). Persistent cloud cover, elevated humidity, and frequent light precipitation moderate radiative cooling, preventing temperatures from dropping to the 19–20°C range that would otherwise occur under clearer skies. Key drivers include the influence of the subtropical high and moist southerly flow off the Pacific, which maintains nighttime temperatures around 20–22°C in central Tokyo. Recent model runs align closely with climatological baselines (average June low near 19–20°C), with no indications of unusual cold advection or clear, dry conditions that could push the minimum lower. The tiny probabilities assigned to 20°C or below capture residual uncertainty in exact timing of any clearing or localized effects, while warmer outcomes remain negligible given the expected diurnal range under humid, overcast skies. New observational data or updated short-range guidance from agencies like the Japan Meteorological Agency will be the primary catalysts for any late shifts in positioning.
