Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), the lab founded by Ilya Sutskever in 2024, has maintained a strict “straight-shot” approach with no public large language model, API, benchmark, or research demonstration in over two years despite raising billions. The primary factor keeping near-term release odds low is this consistent track record plus the company’s explicit commitment to ship nothing until safe superintelligence itself. A July 2026 NVIDIA partnership delivering roughly 10x compute via the Vera Rubin platform marked the clearest verified milestone, accelerating internal scaling but not yet producing any public artifact. An unconfirmed August 2026 release claim from investor Gavin Baker failed to materialize, further anchoring trader skepticism. With hardware migration still ramping and no official SSI communications signaling a shift, credible catalysts remain limited to future company updates or third-party confirmation of a qualifying public model.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
