Recent cooling from a cold front passage after early September heat has positioned Chicago for a Thursday high near 75–77°F, with National Weather Service and model guidance showing mostly sunny skies after morning clouds and northwest winds. Lake Michigan moderation and potential residual moisture create narrow uncertainty in peak readings, spreading market-implied odds evenly across the 72–81°F bins as traders weigh slight forecast differences in insolation, boundary-layer mixing, and urban heat island effects against the seasonal average of 78°F. Updated model runs and local observations over the next 48 hours will likely refine the exact bin before resolution.
