Jakub Rychtecký, the current first deputy mayor, leads an expanded local coalition under Žijeme Pardubice that incorporates additional civic groupings ahead of the October 9–10 municipal elections, while incumbent Jan Nadrchal heads the ANO ticket seeking re-election. The narrow edge for both reflects their shared governing experience since 2022, overlapping records on budgeting, infrastructure, and urban planning, and the absence of decisive public polling that would clarify voter shifts. Separate candidacies by ODS, STAN-linked lists, SPD-linked groups, and smaller formations fragment the field without creating a clear frontrunner, keeping implied probabilities among leading options closely matched. Council formation after the vote will decide the outcome, with coalition negotiations the key variable that could shift positioning in the final weeks.
