Strong critical reception for its mature tone and Tom Holland’s performance, combined with robust word-of-mouth and minimal summer competition, fueled exceptional legs that saw the film reach $800 million domestically in a record 19 days and $900 million faster than any prior release. Ongoing box-office updates through August and early September confirmed its trajectory past TFA’s 2015 benchmark, with traders closely tracking daily grosses and re-release potential amid its $2.45 billion worldwide haul.
