Bianca Andreescu enters this Roland Garros WTA qualifying match with significant experience advantages over 17-year-old French wildcard Daphnee Mpetshi Perricard, highlighted by her recent clay-court progress including victories against top-20 opponents in Rome and her first tour-level win of the season. Andreescu, a former US Open champion returning from extended injury absences, has shown improved consistency on the surface that defines this Grand Slam. Mpetshi Perricard, ranked outside the top 800 and competing in her first major qualifying draw, benefits from local support and family tennis pedigree as the sister of rising ATP player Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard, yet lacks comparable match toughness at this level. The clay-court conditions and Andreescu’s superior head-to-head pedigree against younger opponents shape expectations for the outcome.
