Forecast models for Los Angeles on September 5 show highs clustered in the upper 70s to mid-80s, with National Weather Service guidance and ensemble runs indicating a marine layer and onshore flow that typically caps coastal maxima near 80°F while allowing slight inland warming. Recent observations from LAX and downtown stations reflect similar conditions under clear to partly cloudy skies with light southwest winds, keeping temperatures close to seasonal averages around 77°F. Trader consensus splits evenly between the 78-79°F and 80-81°F bins because small differences in afternoon sea-breeze timing or cloud cover can shift the daily peak across those thresholds. Updated NWS point forecasts and next model cycles will likely refine the outcome before resolution.
