Northwest winds and high-pressure patterns determine how quickly the layer thins or clears over the city and microclimates, directly differentiating the closely matched 72-73°F and 70-71°F outcomes. This summer pattern aligns with typical August baselines around 70°F, with traders weighing model consensus on inversion strength and onshore flow for resolution.
