This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by the Hong Kong Observatory in degrees Celsius on 2 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from the Hong Kong Observatory, specifically the "Absolute Daily Min (deg. C)" the specified date once information is finalized in the relevant "Daily Extract", available here: https://www.weather.gov.hk/en/cis/climat.htm This market can not resolve until data for this date has been published. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures in Celsius to one decimal place (eg, 9.1°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is initially published for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.**Trader consensus strongly favors a 25°C minimum temperature in Hong Kong on September 2, 2026 (94.5% implied probability), driven by official Hong Kong Observatory forecasts and numerical weather models projecting a daily range of roughly 26–30°C under northwest monsoon flow.** Persistent cloud cover, scattered showers, and moderate northwest winds (4–5 Beaufort, occasionally stronger offshore) are limiting both daytime heating and overnight radiative cooling, keeping the expected low near the seasonal September average of ~24–26°C at the Observatory station. Current observations show surface temperatures holding in the mid-20s°C overnight into the morning, consistent with model consensus from sources like WeatherBug (projected low ~24°C / 75°F) and regional guidance. This positioning reflects aggregated trader assessment of real-time data and historical climatology rather than speculation. The outcome could shift if steering winds weaken, allowing clearer skies and greater nocturnal cooling toward 24°C or below, or if heavier convective rain enhances evaporative cooling; conversely, stronger subsidence or reduced moisture could push the minimum above 25°C. New HKO updates or refined model runs later in the day remain the key near-term catalysts.
