This market will resolve according to the candidate who receives the most valid votes from Lexington County in the Special Republican Primary Runoff for United States Senator from South Carolina, which is scheduled to be held on August 25, 2026. The named candidates will be primarily ranked by the number of valid votes received in the specified election. If two or more candidates are tied on valid votes, ties will be broken by alphabetical order of the candidates' last names. This market will resolve to the candidate that occupies the highest finishing position after applying this ranking. If the Lexington County results of this election are not definitively known by December 31, 2026, this market will resolve to "Other." This market will resolve based on a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the government of South Carolina, including the Election Commission and the government of Lexington County.Darline Graham Nordone holds a commanding position in Lexington County for the August 25 Republican Senate special primary runoff due to her deep local roots as a Lexington resident and the enduring name recognition from her late brother, former Sen. Lindsey Graham. She topped the August 11 primary field statewide at roughly 33 percent, outpacing Ralph Norman statewide and benefiting from an endorsement by President Trump that aligns with South Carolina Republican primary dynamics. Norman, a U.S. representative from the Upstate, has focused on contrasting his congressional record and outsider stance against perceived establishment ties, including in a recent debate and local campaign stops, yet his county-level strength has historically concentrated elsewhere. Early voting concluded August 21 with no late developments reported that would alter localized preferences. While Norman could theoretically close gaps through strong turnout among conservative voters skeptical of appointed candidates, Graham’s home-county advantage and primary performance make significant shifts unlikely before runoff results are certified.
