This market will resolve to "Yes" if Donald Trump makes any public statement in which he insults, mocks, or attacks Mojtaba Khamenei personally or professionally in a clearly negative manner between market creation and June 19, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". This includes calling the individual weak, stupid, disloyal, a failure, using an insulting nickname, using other derogatory language, or using the negative form of a positive trait in a derogatory personal way (e.g., “He/She isn’t smart”). Negative forms used in reference to the individual's professional actions, policies, or decisions (e.g., “He/She isn’t being smart about this policy”) will not count. Policy disagreements stated without disparaging language will not count. A direct reference will qualify even if the individual is not named, so long as it is reasonably clear from context that they are the subject. Any written, verbal, or recorded public statement by Trump qualifies. The resolution source will be a consensus of credible reporting.**Ongoing U.S.-Iran ceasefire negotiations and Trump's recent pragmatic comments on Mojtaba Khamenei explain the strong trader consensus against a near-term public insult.** Following the February 2026 U.S.-Israeli strikes that killed Ali Khamenei and elevated his son Mojtaba as supreme leader, direct talks have advanced toward a memorandum of understanding, with both sides signaling proximity to an agreement in mid-June. Trump stated on June 4 he would be "honored" to meet Mojtaba if a deal emerges and later described the younger leader as "more rational" than his father, while walking back immediate strike threats after outreach from regional mediators. These developments, alongside Iran's public emphasis on guarding its nuclear and missile programs under the new leadership, point to diplomatic momentum rather than rhetorical escalation in the days ahead. With resolution tied to verifiable public statements by the deadline, the pricing reflects limited catalysts for an abrupt shift in tone.
