Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and model guidance places the September 22 high temperature in Los Angeles in the mid- to upper 70s°F, with morning low clouds and fog tied to a persistent marine layer and southwest flow expected to clear by afternoon under light to moderate onshore winds. A weakening upper-level low over the region has kept recent coastal readings 2–6°F below seasonal normals around 76°F, limiting daytime heating while maintaining humidity near 60–70% and dew points in the mid-60s. Slight differences in forecast clearing timing and local sea-breeze strength create the narrow spread between the 74–75°F and 76–77°F bins, which together capture over 87% of market-implied probability; warmer outcomes would require faster marine-layer erosion or stronger offshore flow not currently indicated in the latest runs.
