Recent southerly winds and high pressure building behind a cold front have driven cooler air into the Buenos Aires region, creating tight market-implied odds between a minimum of 1°C or below (45.0%) and 11°C or higher (44.5%). Official forecasts and global models show overnight lows clustered around 7–9°C under partly cloudy skies, but discrepancies in boundary-layer mixing and wind speed produce the balanced probabilities for more extreme cooling or moderation. Traders are watching the next SMN and GFS/ECMWF runs for refinements ahead of the overnight period, as small shifts in dew points or cloud cover could tip the recorded minimum across key thresholds like 4–6°C. Historical September minima near 8°C provide context for the current setup.
