Current National Weather Service and model guidance for Dallas points to a minimum temperature near 78–80°F on September 17, driven by persistent southerly flow advecting warm, moist Gulf air under mostly clear skies with light southeast winds. High dew points near 68–70°F limit nocturnal radiative cooling despite the absence of strong frontal systems, keeping overnight lows well above seasonal normals. The tight clustering of market probabilities around 80–85°F reflects modest ensemble spread in forecast timing and boundary-layer mixing rather than major pattern shifts, with the next model cycles and updated NWS guidance expected to narrow resolution criteria for the official daily minimum.
