This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the lowest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 21 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the lowest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=sbgr If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Trader sentiment for the lowest temperature in São Paulo on September 21, 2026, reflects substantial forecast uncertainty, with leading outcomes clustered around 19°C (32.0%), 16°C or below (29.5%), and 26°C or higher (29.5%).** This spread arises because multiple global models show variability in overnight minimums driven by a mix of warm northerly advection, variable cloud cover, and the timing of any frontal passage in early spring conditions. Current guidance from sources like WeatherBug, WindBorne, and Yr.no points to an overnight low near 18–21°C (roughly 64–70°F), consistent with partly cloudy to clear skies allowing moderate radiative cooling but tempered by breezy northerly winds. Historical September averages for São Paulo lows hover near 12–16°C, so the current pattern features above-normal warmth from northerly flow. Key differentiators include model disagreement on cloud thickness (which reduces nighttime cooling) versus clear-sky radiational cooling, plus whether a subtle frontal boundary arrives late on the 21st to suppress the minimum. Upcoming official updates from INMET or refined high-resolution runs will likely clarify the exact threshold, as small shifts in dew point or wind speed can swing the low by 2–4°C. Traders appear to be pricing in this genuine scientific uncertainty rather than a single dominant scenario.
