Thailand's Constitutional Court continues deliberating a petition from the Ombudsman challenging barcodes and QR codes on ballots from the February 8, 2026 general election, arguing they risk violating secret voting principles, but traders see negligible chance of invalidation at 92.5% "No." The court accepted the case 6-3 in mid-March, sought Election Commission clarifications, and in late April ordered expert opinions within 15 days while the EC submitted a defense insisting votes remain untraceable. Absent evidence of material impact on results, the high bar for annulling a national election—unprecedented without proven widespread flaws—anchors trader consensus, with proceedings ongoing ahead of potential June resolution.
