National Weather Service forecasts for Central Park and surrounding New York City stations consistently project a daytime high of 71–72°F on September 19 under partly sunny skies with northeast to east winds of 5–10 mph. These conditions limit solar heating and advect cooler marine air, holding temperatures below the late-September climatological average of roughly 75°F. Model consensus from recent runs shows minimal diurnal rise after morning readings near 63–66°F, with no significant warm-air advection or clearing expected before peak heating. This alignment explains the dominant 79% market-implied probability on the 70–71°F bin, while thin volume on warmer or cooler alternatives reflects limited uncertainty in the official guidance ahead of afternoon observations.
